FAQ,s
Anti-wrinkle injections help temporarily smooth and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, especially on the forehead, around the eyes (crow’s feet), and between the eyebrows (frown lines).
Bocouture and Botox are both injectable botulinum toxin type A products used to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines, crow's feet, and horizontal forehead lines. Bocouture, however, lacks complexing proteins and human albumin, making it a more purified formulation than Botox. This difference in formulation may lead to a slightly more natural look and potentially reduce the risk of allergic reactions, although both products are generally considered safe for cosmetic use.
The treatment is quick—usually completed within just a few minutes—making it ideal for busy schedules. Many patients have it done during a lunch break.
Most patients experience only slight discomfort during the injections. The sensation is typically brief and well-tolerated as I administer numbing cream.
Things to Avoid After Botox (for at least 4–6 hours, some up to 24 hours)
No lying down or bending over
Avoid lying flat or bending forward for at least 4 hours. This helps prevent the Botox from spreading to unintended areas.
🤸♀️No strenuous physical activity
Avoid exercise or vigorous activity for 24 hours to prevent increased blood flow, which can cause Botox to spread or reduce its effectiveness.
🧠Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging your face
Don’t massage the injection sites or apply pressure for at least 24 hours. This can move the Botox and cause uneven results or affect nearby muscles.
💆♀️Avoid facials, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion
Wait at least 24–48 hours before getting any facial treatments.
🧖♀️Avoid heat exposure
No saunas, hot tubs, tanning beds, or prolonged sun exposure for 24–48 hours, as heat can increase blood flow and potentially disperse the Botox.
🍷Avoid alcohol
Refrain from drinking alcohol for 24 hours before and after treatment—it can increase your risk of bruising.
💊Avoid blood-thinning medications or supplements (if not medically necessary)
Medications like aspirin, ibuprofen, or supplements like fish oil and vitamin E can increase bruising. Check with your doctor before stopping any prescribed medications.
Some improvement may be visible within a few days, but the full effects typically develop within one to two weeks after treatment.
